• Harpers Ferry National Historical Park - The confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers at Harpers Ferry once was home to various water-powered factories as well as a United States arms factory and arsenal, but these establishments faced a few minor difficulties (recurrent disastrous floods and the Civil War, for starters...)
